  • Food Pantry

    Wed 13 Jan 2021

The aim of the pantry is to help support anyone in need and who would benefit. They don’t ask questions about income or benefits. It could be for people on low income or those who are having difficulty accessing big supermarkets  and are relying on local shops (which can be expensive and eat into people’s budgets).  This is a pilot project lead by Eclipse Wales.

Its £1 annual membership, and then £5 each week a bag of food. Mostly dried goods with some fresh items, and different each week. Regular members have fed back that its good value for money and a regular life line to people at the moment.  Generally people will need to attend a pantry to pick up a food bag, but some pantries may have volunteers who can deliver (if the person doesn’t have a friend/family member to help).

See Poster for venues and times.
