Welcome to our exciting new website!
Brynmenyn Clothes Swap Shop
What is the Swap Shop?
The Swap Shop is a way of reusing school uniform to reduce waste and reduce the cost of uniform as children grow. It is a way to help our school community and the environment at the same time. We encourage people to donate any uniform, still in good condition, that has been outgrown. This can then be washed and sorted ready to be passed on to other children.
Where can I donate my uniform?
If you have any old uniform you would like to donate, you can bring it into the office or send it in with your child for their school councillor to collect.
How to I access the swap shop?
If you would like any uniform from the swap shop, you can ring the office and give the details of what you require (male or female, items of uniform and size). It will then be prepared for you to collect from the office.
What clothes we are collecting and what is available?
We are collecting the following items of uniform: grey/black trousers, grey/black skirts, white t-shirts, maroon cardigans, maroon jumpers, maroon hoodies and coats. These items are then available from the swap shop.
Can you donate or collect anything other than clothes?
At the moment it is only uniform and coats. We would also accept wellies for our Forest Schools work.
Please contact the school office if you have any further questions

We are collecting donations of tinned, dried and non perishable food items for our local Food Banks. We appreciate anything you can spare.
The aim of the pantry is to help support anyone in need and who would benefit. They don’t ask questions about income or benefits. It could be for people on low income or those who are having difficulty accessing big supermarkets and are relying on local shops (which can be expensive and eat into people’s budgets). This is a pilot project lead by Eclipse Wales.
Its £1 annual membership, and then £5 each week a bag of food. Mostly dried goods with some fresh items, and different each week. Regular members have fed back that its good value for money and a regular life line to people at the moment. Generally people will need to attend a pantry to pick up a food bag, but some pantries may have volunteers who can deliver (if the person doesn’t have a friend/family member to help).
