Our term plan is attached for your information.
It is helpful if you make sure all of your child’s uniform is labelled with his/her name.
Please put a change of clothes in your child’s bag in case they have an accident.
We will have PE on a Wednesday, please send your child in PE kit on this day. Black/Grey leggings, joggers or shorts and a white t-shirt.
Please make sure you put water and not squash in your child’s drink bottle.
This term the children will be planning a birthday party for Peppa Pig. At the end of the term, they will be celebrating the party in class by dressing up and making party food. Details will follow.

This week has been a Valentines themed week. We have learned all about Valentines Day, made love potions, used Love Heart Sweets to count and sort, talked about who we love and why and written Valentines cards to the special people in our lives.

In literacy, pupils have been using their writing skills to describe a tiger (with it being the year of the tiger) and write the different ways we prepare for and celebrate Chinese New Year.
In numeracy, children have been learning about directions. They have engaged with the caterpillar and given it directions but have also been in the yard completing an obstacle course thinking about their directions.
In context lessons, pupils have designed and made Chinese lanterns and Chinese envelopes and learnt of the purpose of each.

This week Butterflies have been creating love spoons for St Dynwyns day, reading the story of the Great Race (Chinese New Year). We have also been creating Chinese zodiac animals out of clay and completing Chinese New Year mojo challenges.
Making Our Own Sandwiches
Butterflies have been playing out in the street area. Role play is great fun!
